After seeing what else I promoted on this Website you should be a little bit surprised to find Chronicle here. I normally don't really go for action-sci-fi. But it is also a drama and a thriller. And I have to say the more I see them; the more I like thrillers.
What I particularly liked about Chronicle is that the whole story is not revealed in the trailer. I hate when this happens! There are still surprises and in a good way. The story is interesting, the acting is good and the effects are well used.
Specially the flying part is amazing. I think everybody has this dream of flying sometimes. It is just something we humans are not capable of. And besides all the crazy things happening it is also a movie about outsiders, about friendship and about revenge.
What I first was afraid of is the use of a hand-held camera. I was scared of super shaky pictures à la Hunger Games. But, they found a really good solution actually. I will not tell you how they solved this problem- I don't want to spoil the fun :)
I can just tell you this: this movie is really worth seeing. If you want some fun and good pictures - without a focus on a love-story or comedy this is the perfect movie for you. Go and see it!
